To mark Scottish Business UK’s fifth anniversary, I was invited along to the first SBUK’s Leader Reception in September this year. Hosted at The Signet Library in Edinburgh, the event brought together senior leaders from Scottish business and politics for a business leaders panel discussion, sharing our thoughts on some of the most pressing challenges currently affecting our economy. The panel was chaired by Magnus Linklater CBE and included prominent leaders from across the country including Dr Marie Macklin CBE and Iain Anderson.
Over the next couple of weeks, I will be sharing some short clips from the panel discussions, where I share my thoughts on various topics discussed at the event. In the following clip, I share my views on the requirement for more policy alignment between Westminster and Holyrood, coming together during these difficult times to help UK businesses thrive.
